head out of k-town...

to the westside via my favorite street in LA...6th St. I often go out of my way for the experience, no matter what's goin on in my life this drive usually puts a smile on my face.
Just as you round the bend past Wilton the scenery changes from a foreign art deco land to a whimsical street enveloped by a natural canopy with beautiful homes that once housed the studio moguls of the 1920's. And this time of year driving with your windows rolled down you will be surprised by the sweet smell of Jasmine, as quickly as the intense smell hits you it is gone. But before you even have time to long for the smell it will hit you again. Ahhhhhh....And all the pretty flowers that are blooming. From the small purple wildflowers, the extravagant bougainvilleas, to the carefully manicured rose bushes, even the botanically challenged can appreciate the sight.
One of the best things about this street is it seems to be unknown as it is rare that you will be stuck in traffic.

If you have extra time head north off 6th St., and you will probably find a home similar to the one below. Hard to believe it's still LA.
